Exsento is seeking passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor’s to join our client’s team and provide swimming lessons for children for their upcoming swim session, running from April to October. This is a seasonal position with the opportunity to return for each swim season.

As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students of all skill levels, ensuring their safety in and around the water, and creating a fun and encouraging environment for learning. You will work with students one-on-one or in small groups, assessing their progress and helping them develop swimming techniques and water safety skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comfortable in an aquatic environment with high energy, fun, and positive attitude that brings excitement to every lesson
• At ease around children, with a genuine love for the little ones and the energy to keep up with their enthusiasm
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for all swimmers during lessons.
• Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, adjusting lessons accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area and lesson materials.
• Provide feedback to clients and maintain a professional relationship with them.
• Attend required training sessions and meetings.
• Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to give clear instructions and provide feedback in an encouraging way
• Patience & Adaptability: Ability to work with children of different skill levels and learning styles
• Safety Awareness: Familiarity with pool safety guidelines and emergency procedures
• Enthusiastic & Energetic Personality: Ability to engage and motivate swimmers in a fun way
• Team Player: Willingness to assist with other swim programs, events, or general pool duties
• Flexible Availability: Schedule range Monday – Friday with morning or evenings shifts

Nice to Haves

• Teaching Experience: Prior experience working with children or coaching (even in other sports)
• Certifications: CPR, First Aid, or Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification

Training and Support:

To ensure our Swim Instructors feel confident and well-prepared, our client provides training at their facility. This program is designed to familiarize new instructors with specific teaching methods, safety protocols, and lesson plans. You’ll have the opportunity to practice and refine your teaching skills in a supportive environment before leading your own classes!
